YOUR STORY, MADE VISIBLEA unique bespoke commission, dedicated to Anna Restrepo.
Some things cannot be spoken. They live inside in the body, in memory, in the quiet space between who we were and who we are becoming.
This is where the work begins.
Anyway (2026)
A perfect life,
Stitched pretty and neat.
Every seam in place
And still, beneath:
A new path in motion,
A feeling —
Then doubt.
A fray —
Pulling loose,
Past ambitions
Bleed out.
With power,
And courage,
She followed her heart.
Against stories,
And others,
Expectations
Depart.
Choosing herself,
To no longer
Betray.
She did it,
She did it anyway,
Anyway (2026)

There is a particular kind of loneliness in living a life that looks right. Everything in its place - the pretty story others expected.
And still, underneath it, something refuses to settle. A quiet dissonance between what is seen and what is felt.
This isn't about what is left behind. It's about what was chosen anyway.
It’s power. Courage: a celebration. Trusting a truth that could only be felt. About choosing yourself — when everyone else expected something different and when your own mind fought for a truth that only your heart could feel.
Something which starts linear, and dissolves into something else; something which moves in the way real change moves — loosening, softening, finding its own rhythm. Rejecting the line laid down by someone else, whilst dancing your way to something more true.
Anyway (2026) is the gift she gave to herself — proof, made permanent, that the courage was real. Now living as an anchor. Not built from certainty, but from the choice to stand in one's own truth anyway, and to keep building a life from there.
