I'm Nikki Heaton — colour and material consultant with 25 years' experience translating vision into sensory reality, across automotive, product and interior design.

My background is in product design, specialising in the elements that give an object its emotional resonance — surface, texture, weight, colour. I've developed exterior colour and material palettes for Jaguar Land Rover and McLaren, and consulted in-house with Microsoft and Nokia during a significant period of brand transition.

Working on a personal or one-off project — a restoration, a bespoke build, a car or room that means something — is a different kind of privilege. There's no brand brief to follow, just your own instinct for what's right, and the trust that someone else can see it as clearly as you do.

What I bring is the ability to listen closely to what you're already reaching for, and find the material language that carries it fully — nothing diluted, nothing generic. The right colour, arrived at with real intention.

Alongside consultancy, I have created bespoke artwork to brief for interior design and architectural practices — working collaboratively with their vision, schemes and material direction to create pieces that belong entirely within the project. View selected interior architecture projects here.
