THE STORY OF YOUR WORKCrafting the stories of our human experience
We roam this earth together and united. Exploring, transitioning and growing in time and love. All we need is here: all we need is us.
Four sections and four detail stitch lines represent each of us; as individual as we are together. A longer unfinished line tracks adventures and memories past; our beloved Isle of Skye; our children, each other.
Celebrating five years of marriage and togetherness. For the journey: here, all together or there, as we wander alone; all we need us us.
THE WORKSComposition and Form
Quiet and simple; yet crowded and complex. A juxtaposing tapestry - purposely unfinished lines: representing the open threads of our lives.
Three dimensional relief and essence is created over a deep edged canvas, ink washed. The result, a deeply structured l essence on canvas.
Four geometric elements conjoining; overlapping and supporting: fusing together in minimalist chaos.
THE DETAILSColour
Layers of raw natural ink washes in elemental hues create clean and natural shades whilst celebrating the pure and raw texture of the canvas.
Natural muted ochre and beige dances gleefully with rose. An uplifting, playful and calming natural palette exploring earth tones - with shifting movement of light and shade.
An introspective exploration of natural muted earth tones, with the romance of roses; curated and crafted using natural pigments, inks, dyes and flowers.
