About the Work
Breathing Chaos (2021) explores concepts and ideas around human experience and consciousness. Chaos is inevitable for us all - sometimes fleeting, often chronic. The mind is both beautiful and destructive; It can end chapters and it can create new beginnings. Chaos is a reality to us all; we live it breath it and feel it.
Structure
Layers of pre-loved linen interweave and shadow each other, creating purposeful negative spaces and new forms within. Layer upon layer of acrylic paint and ‘weathering’ techniques set the layers in solid formation. An eventual haptic ‘tapestry’ is formed.
Materials
Cotton canvas, recycled linen, cotton stitch, acrylic.
Framing + Finish
A bespoke, handmade, solid walnut archival box frame, with contrasting solid oak spline detail.
FSC certified wood. Oiled. Ready to Hang.
The works are delicate, detailed and three dimensional. Superior museum quality, anti-reflective ‘Clarity’ glazing completes the framing and ensures the ultimate and most refined viewing experience.
Oak Framing available on request. Please enquire.
Quality is everything: all frames are bespoke and hand crafted to order. For this reason an estimated 2-3 weeks lead time is expected for delivery of all products in most cases.

Works: W160mm x H205mm
Framed: W325mm x H425mm x D35 mm
(Artwork comes framed as standard)
