Abstract Textile Art for

Material Led Spaces

CRAFTING THE STORIES OF OUR HUMAN EXPERIENCE

READ MORE ABOUT MY STORY >

Working exclusively with reclaimed industrial textiles, I create sculptural abstract artwork for considered, material-led spaces: elevating haptic materiality and human connection while telling the unique story of each project.

My 25-year career as a CMF specialist includes 15 years consulting in-house on exterior paint and colour palettes for Jaguar Land Rover and McLaren, where I use Kvadrat textiles extensively. This foundation in luxury material specification now informs every choice I make - understanding how the subtlest shift in texture or weight changes the entire emotional experience of a space.

02 | ELEVATING SUSTAINABILTY THROUGH MATERIALITY AND PARTNERSHIP

Consciously curating and sustainably collaborating with partners whose values align to leave a gentle carbon footprint for years to come.

Materials are important, and so is the footprint they leave behind. Every element in my practice is chosen for both its narrative potential and its ethical provenance.

I work exclusively with suppliers who share my commitment to transparency - from reclaimed industrial textiles and natural dyes, to sustainable artisanal framing sourced through established relationships built on trust and sustainability.

My long-standing relationship and understanding of Kvadrat's textiles and innovation, combined with the approach to material innovation and commitment to circular systems, aligns perfectly with my practice. Kvadrat deadstock represents narrative-rich extile waiting for transformation into contemporary art.

“I’ve always been enchanted by colour. I think creating through colour is simply how I show up in the world – how I ‘do’ things and definitely how I think about and ‘see’ things”

04 | THE VISION OF OUR PARTNERSHIP

Giving Kvadrat's story-rich textiles their next chapter as emotional architecture.

I want to take textiles with richness, quality and story of their own to explore how they take on new purpose as narratives in artwork based around themes of kinship, connection, belonging and home.

What happens when we give Kvadrat's story-rich textiles their next chapter - as the emotional architecture of someone's sanctuary?

I envision a long-standing partnership with a cyclical system for acquiring source material, one which leaves a gentle footprint whilst creating new stories from the stories you've already told. Together, we transform your deadstock challenge into a showcase for how industrial innovation becomes intimate art.

05 | THE COLLABORATION

Creating sustainable partnership frameworks that transform deadstock into contemporary art.

I'm scaling my practice and need consistent access to deadstock textiles to sustain higher production volumes.

Working with Kvadrat represents an opportunity to create at the scale my vision demands. I'm flexible on procurement systems and can work with 1m to 5m+ quantities based on material specs and supply chain availability. A changing aesthetic range of varied textiles would also support a wonderful dynamic for exploration.

I envision perhaps quarterly or bi-yearly material acquisitions, initially working with mostly natural fibers and potentially progressing to other constructions as the partnership and my artistic exploration journey develops.

This partnership transforms deadstock into contemporary art while extending the lifecycle of Kvadrat material innovations.

Previous explorations with Kvadrat textile: an exploration in texture, structure and detail.

The following works demonstrate some of the approaches I've taken with Kvadrat materials already in my practice. Natural dyes are occasionally applied to sections, though mostly I allow for the textile's inherent colour story to guide the foundational narrative: each piece showcases how deadstock transforms into emotional architecture.

“My work intends to visualise mental narratives: a form of storytelling that I believe we can all relate to - a place to celebrate the beautiful and the broken.”
