STORY
A bespoke series of seven large-scale textile artworks created with KOTO Living for Moor Hall Restaurant's Garden Rooms - 3 Michelin-starred Chef Mark Birchall's luxury retreat in Lancashire. The architecturally crafted suites needed biophilic artworks that would deepen guests' connection to the surrounding woodland and gardens.
An introspective exploration of botanicals and human connection to nature. Each piece extends Moor Hall's philosophy of sustainable luxury through textile narratives inspired by the living landscape surrounding the retreat.
SUSTAINABILIY
Created using exclusively recycled OEKO-TEX textiles, small-batch natural inks, and FSC certified hardwood framing. Each element chosen to align with both KOTO Living's environmental values and Moor Hall's commitment to sustainable luxury hospitality.
FORM + STRUCTURE
Quiet abstract geometric compositions created through overlapping textile layers on deep-edged canvas. Stitch and embossing create dimensional relief while combining clean pressed edges with raw details for subtle complexity.
COLOUR
Natural ink washes in botanical hues celebrate the pure texture of reclaimed canvas. All colours conceptualized with the KOTO Living brief, though natural pigments create unique depth variations.
